Mission Statement

IMG_0665 - for webThe Kirkwood Parks and Recreation Department is committed to providing a variety of leisure experiences to the citizens of Kirkwood, as well as residents of surrounding communities. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life through the programs we offer, the events we host, and the facilities we provide, while preserving and maintaining natural areas, open space and native habitat. We will strive to provide the highest level of service to our citizens, while balancing the needs of the present and those of future generations.

Identification Cards

To enter Kirkwood Parks & Recreation facilities (such as the aquatic center, ice rink, or tennis courts) at the Resident Rate, you must have a Kirkwood ID Card. Cards are $15 each, both for originals and replacements, and are good for up to three years. In order to obtain an ID card, each purchaser, 16 and over, must present a valid and current Missouri Driver’s License (or State of Missouri ID card), showing resident address, and a current utility bill (gas, water, electric, or phone), bank statement, or voter ID card, issued to their home address within the last three months. Purchasers age 15 and under must be accompanied by a person at the same address who can present the documents listed above.
